This year is Invent an Alien's 25th Anniversary
In 2010 the aliens are coming from Europa

Hot and boring moon with no special features…. guess again!  Take a look at this 6th moon of Jupiter you’ll learn a whole lot more about it!

Invent an Alien Updates

Research Europa and then learn about all the different body systems and apply this knowledge to your alien.
Give your students the opportunity to use a wide range of educational skills such as researching, planning, implementing the plan, brainstorming, interviewing, creative thinking, presenting and building with their choice of materials.

Si vous faites ce projet en français, c’est une occasion merveilleuse d’inciter vos élèves de s’exprimer !!

Here’s what you do…have students research Europa. On the basis of their study, they must create a creature that could live there. The students must use all of their creative abilities to imagine: What will the alien look like? What will it eat? How will it move? Reproduce?

Give your students the opportunity to use a wide range of educational skills such as researching, planning, implementing the plan, brainstorming, interviewing, creative thinking, presenting and building with their choice of materials. The project also fits into the Province’s Literacy with ITC objectives.
